And that's why we are looking for you! As a database expert, you will continuously optimize our database deployments (PostgreSQL and Microsoft SQL Server) and recognize performance bottlenecks from afar and know how to proactively eliminate them.
Together with the DevOps team you act as an interface between the backend application development (Jakarta EE with JPA) and the operations.
Your activities are diversified and in constant change due to new technical requirements and customer-driven developments. tech11 gives all its employees the opportunity to develop individually and to get the best out of sure.
Tasks
- Continuous optimization of database performance and proactive monitoring with the appropriate tools
- Development, discussion and responsibility for database operation concepts
- Creation and implementation of database backup and disaster/recovery concepts
- Project work: IT consulting, system integration, if necessary on-site at the customer's premises
- Expert in operating PostgreSQL databases (cluster systems, backup, ...) and ideally experience with MS SQL Server
- Good knowledge in PostgreSQL replication and backup mechanisms (e.g. Barman)
- Good knowledge of SQL, database models and analysis
- Ideally basic knowledge in Java, JDBC, JPA and Flyway
- Good knowledge of Linux and Docker
- Good communication skills (DE/EN) paired with high motivation & self-initiative
- Strong technology focus & quality awareness
